I've come up with a design I like (the first of three) but the IT department (AKA my daughter) and I, disagree on placement. Here are the options.
The character is hand drawn, but based on a picture found on the web. Please chime in and give your thoughts on both the design and which option you might prefer. All comments will be greatly appreciated. When the printing screens are made we will work out the details so that Jason's mask is white. Thank you, Ron.

Hey Ron,
Put me down for an XL in option #1 once you get them in production! Cheers, Carl P.S. If #2 wins, I'm still down for an XL |

I don't care for the 'Jason' thing, I'd go with the flaming 'king of pain t" graphic done on the front, do that and I'd buy it . If you do decide to keep the WalkSoftly then put it on the back.

Thanks guys "walk softly" will definitely stay on there. For those who haven't heard it before it references Teddy Roosevelt's (1900) proverb "walk softly but carry a big stick"
Who in hockey carries the big stick? Us goalies. To me it also means: actions speak louder than words and something else that's important to me, having a quite confidence where I wont spam the crap out of every thread in every forum or Facebook group with spew of how good I am , that annoys the Hell out of me. Jason, doesn't say much - but gets the job done quite well. He'll stay in the design as well - the design won't change. If you like it and understand my philosophy, fantastic! Maybe you'll buy one. If you hate it, sorry. But you can still buy one and use it to clean your tires or something .I don't think offering up a couple fun t-shirts will pave the way to financial freedom, it's just a little project my daughter and I are doing. Thanks.

I like option 1. If the "Jason" design is the same for either option, then I prefer the design of the back of option 1 vs. the logo on the chest of option 2.
I catch a little grief being my name is Jason & I am a goalie. I figure I might as well embrace it.

I like option #2, but the front of #2, and back of #1 would look good together.

Hi Ron,
I like option 1 with Jason on the front, but I would change the back. I would use the same back art but smaller (kind of like the front of option 2) and have it centered between the shoulders. Let us know when they're available. |

personally, I'd be very careful using the Jason likeness. You don't want to be sued. Unless of course you have permission to use it.

The publicity of such action would be awesome! and in the end I'll cut them a cheque for their share of any profits.
Besides my character is a child friendly goalie, not a serial killa'

I'm in for option 1. The large design on the back sells it for me.

I like option two and my Son likes option one but we would buy two of which ever one goes to press. Ron: We were at a camp this week and there were lots of questions about the reburb job you did on the 961. Probably because it looks different: Metallic black with the beefed up certified cage, visibly "red" foam padding and no Itech identifiers. Funny how the instructors (pro's and semi pro's) can spot that stuff a mile away. You did a great job. You actually made a 961 better! Thanks again. Scott: The all Red pads and gloves got lots of attention too. I highly recommend 10 3/4" wide pads for anyone who is 5' 6". They look like right (at scale) and allow for great mobility. |

I like them both - would like them more if they were long sleeved Ts
Sign me up for a large whatever you choose.F. BTW - It looks like the inscription under the Jason says 'Choose your altered ego...' - are you sure it's not supposed to be 'Choose your alter ego...'? Or are you using a play on words? |

Long story, way shortened... A while back I was owner of a construction company registered as Acme Unlimited. I was interested in some shop space to store supplies, equipment and paint masks on rainy days but couldn't justify the costs of the 2000 sq/ft unit. One of my brothers in law who was also involved in construction decided to get on board, agreeing to pay half of all costs - Kool. Eventually we started a partnership in construction too as the houses we were building got more and more complicated and required greater manpower. A partnership was required to avoid paying WSIB fees and union ordered vacation pay (an additional 20.57% total on gross earnings) on each others wages. That brother in law's name is Arthur or Art.

A little tongue in cheek on my part using the word profit Boss. I don't think I'll have to worry too much about them pursuing it

Hey Ron,
Although I really like both designs, I think that I slightly favor option #1. I absolutely love your flaming mask logo, and like to see it as large as possible! Option #2 is also nice and perhaps a bit cleaner looking, but seems like it minimizes that logo too much IMO. Regardless of which you choose, you can count on an order from me! |

Ron:
RJ likes #1, I sort of prefer #2, but it think the best would be the front of #2, back of #1 like MC. Either way, we're in for two. Nothing like shameless self promotion in Essex County!

Thanks to everyone who chimed in, even though the numbers were small, you really did help us in making our decision.
We'll be moving ahead late next week and have the screens made up for the first version presented, option #1 (my daughter's version). We'll also go ahead with a second design that will feature the front of option #2 and the back of option #1. Eventually more designs will come. To thank those who participated we'll be throwing the names of the 12 posters above into a hat and picking out two winners who will each receive free, postage paid shirts in the mail. Thanks again! Ron.
