Anyway, WWE had to start to blur the belt on TV broadcasts and later, Flair was wearing a WWF Tag-Team Belt to continue the angle (but it was blurred on TV so WWE was still pretending that Flair had the belt) until he finally won the WWF world title at the Rumble. Also, this was the first time in Vince McMahon Jr days that WWE was acknowledging a wrestler's past. I mean, when guys like Hogan, DiBiase SR., Savage, Rude, Anderson & Blanchard, Road Warriors and many others, came to WWE, the WWE presented them as "new" wrestlers, never mentioning their past and acting like if they were guys that nobody ever seen before. But when Flair came in, they said who he was, they mentioned that he was a multiple time champion and he had the belt. They even pushed further by dubbing Flair as "The REAL World Heavyweight Champion". They treated him like if he was a big star even before joining WWE, something that was never done before. |

I'm working on releasing my first Best Of DVD. Got all the footage I needed and it was fun to go through all those matches I had. I fell on that one where I was supposed to fight the Honky Tonk Man but because of severely lacerated fingers, he had to pull out of the match and sent me Bushwacker Luke instead! LOL
I'll let you know when it will be out for sale.

the HONLY TONK MAN!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH SOOooo cool!
"I'm Cool, I'm Cocky...I'm Bad!" I never got to meet him. I wish I could of. I think he was really cool. The biggest wrestling jerk I ever met was Sherry Martel (sensational sherry)...she actually hit my buddy in the side of the head with her belt when we were little kids wanting an autograph. Andre was by far the unrealest thing I have seen to this day. Being picked up by Hillbilly Jim outside of the arena and lifted into the van for autographs with the road warriors, nikolai volkov, tito santana, etc was pretty memorable as well. I wish wrestling could go back to the mid 80's. The mystique made it so desireable. |

It is going back to the 80's just tune into TNA since Hogan arrived... He and his friends are ruining what could have become a really good product.
Robert Roode who could potentially be one of the best unkown stars out there hardly is seen anymore... He was part of the Beer Money Tag Team... who have been put behind the scenes in favor of the Nasty Boys... come on... I first thought Hogan in TNA would be good, but so far nothing good has come from it, and I think he is there to help out his friends and line his own pocket. The mystique of wrestling was lost when it became Sports Entertainment... before that the guys would try to protect the business and that created the mystique that has been lost today. I will watch WM26 later tonight and see if it has gotten any better... Unfortunately, a match between 52 year old Bret Hart who probably was the best pure wrestler ever but has been out of the ring for 15 years and suffered some health problems and a 65 year old Vince cant possibly be good. Michaels vs Undertaker, could be great, but Taker is working hurt and is also getting up there in age. I think the only great match will be Jerich vs. Edge, both these guys are veterans that still are physically able to put on a great match... Last edited by Scott Battram; 03-29-2010 at 01:12 PM. |

Scott, do you remember what I've said when we talked about Hogan at TNA? Was I right? Everything I was fearing is becoming reality at TNA.
One of my friend, a super good female wrestler, lost her tryout when Hogan came in because he wanted to close the Knockout division (which had the best ratings on the show). As for WrestleMania, CM Punk (even if I hate him) vs Mysterio was the match of the night. Taker vs HBK was great too. Bret did what I thought he would do, he can't take bumps anymore. He can have a stroke on any hit he receives. Last edited by chakal; 03-29-2010 at 01:44 PM. |

Can you shed light on your dislike of Punk, David?

We were on the same show once and I didn't liked his attitude. Plus, I don't think he is that much better than anybody else and some other things that has happened outside wrestling to one of my friend Nick (Kizarny in WWE) that I won't mention here since it's no one's business.
I don't like his style of wrestling even if I admit that technically he's strong. But being strong technically is something that hundreds of other wrestlers are too. I admit, the Straight Edge character is getting good, but that's his character for the last 8 years and he's only starting to play it now! I don't understand. |

Personally, I loved watching it as a kid-it was more of a sport back then to me. I loved watching Superstar Billy Graham destroy the WWWF belt on tv, and seeing Bob Baacklund cry and scream in the ring...Andre the Giants' short feud with Blackjack Mulligan, Stan Stasiak/Colonel DeBeers-there was a reason they were THE most hated men in wrestling back in the day...Superfly Snuka off the top of the cage for the title-and missing!
I saw the PPV, and while most matches were not the greatest, Taker vs HBK was good, but Hitman vs McMahon was a corker... TNA was better with the ring they had...now nothing sets them apart...

Didn't KIZARNY lose his "developmental contract" on March 9?
I did not know he was childhoos friends with EGDE and Christian...I really cannot watch Edge wrestle, something there turns me off. I dont like his style I guess. So Chakal you will be in Whitby eh, lol. I might take a drive out seeing its only an hour or so away. |

The thing between him and Kizarny dates way back before CM Punk gets into WWE. He was still in ROH and Indy circuit back then.

Triple H was named by Vince to be his successor at the head of the company if my sources are right and Shane has more interests in MMA than wrestling. He tries to buy some shares from Dana White (UFC) and be his associate.

DVD sales were good for the very first day of sale. Half of them are gone now.
![]() I won't be in Whitby next Sunday after all. My driving buddies are all out! One broke his shoulder and must retire from wrestling for at least 18 months and the other one had a mild stroke after her match yesterday. 30 years old and at the hospital. She may have to retire if the MRI says it was a stroke, but if the MRI is negative, it could just be a panic attack too. Rough week-end at the hospital. So, for a while, don't tell me wrestling is fake! LOL Last edited by chakal; 04-18-2010 at 01:40 PM. |

That's pretty cool!!
On another note, I can't imagine anything in pro wrestling being as depressing as being asked to job for Hornswoggle.
